On the 8th September 2023, a panel with a wide variety of specialities and experience gathered in London for an educational melanoma meeting, titled Join the melanoma MDT to discuss: Evolving roles & patient pathways with adjuvant immunotherapy.
Oncologists, Dermatologists, Nurses, Pharmacists and Surgeons attended to join the conversation, chaired by Dr Heather Shaw. The day focused on facilitating practice sharing and explored different models of care within adjuvant melanoma treatment.
Meeting objectives:
- To discuss the evolving roles of MDT members and facilitate practice sharing in the management and service delivery of adjuvant treatment
- To explore how the Stage II melanoma landscape has changed from different trust perspectives
- To consider the importance of patient advocacy and the early patient conversation within the MDT
- To support practice sharing in diagnosing and managing adverse events in relation to adjuvant treatment in stage II melanoma

KEYTRUDA as monotherapy is indicated for:1
- The treatment of adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older with advanced (unresectable or metastatic) melanoma
- The adjuvant treatment of adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older with Stage IIB, IIC or III melanoma and who have undergone complete resection
